"Optics" are for camera lenses and telescopes, dammit!
"Visuals," "images," "pictures," those are what we see. Which media moran started using "optics" to mean "images?"

1. Yep...I've seen that also. I used to make Reflector Telescope mirrors and we ..
...would grind the glass to a parabolic curvature.

I certainly didn't grind the "Image" or the "Picture"

Wonder were in the hell these people went to school?? :)

5. It was the National School of Unoriginal Journalism
Lots of graduates from that school, where they teach young people to use the latest jargon as often as possible.

It is "CHAMPING at the Bit"

Bugs the shit out of me.

And pronouncing "Forte" as "for-Tay"

It is a French word that rhymes with "Torte".
