Irene almost a hurricane
11PM advisory put the winds at 70mph, moving WNW at 15mph. Hurricane warnings up for Puerto Rico, the US and British Virgin Islands and the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Hurricane watches out for the southern Bahama Islands. Florida and the southeast coast should keep tuned to future track of Irene.

Max sustained winds at 70mph.
