Our priorities in this country are double plus fucked.
Headline: Kim Kardashian set to make $17.9 million on nuptials

Details:

While the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries was reported to cost a manicured-eyebrow raising $10 million, the lovebirds really didn’t have to shell out a dime — in fact, they’ll rake in at least $17.9 million for just saying, “I do”!

Payments they received
* $15 million plus profit for four-hour, two-part wedding special on E!
* $2.5 million for exclusive photos with People magazine
* $300,000 for exclusive engagement announcement with People
* $100,000 for exclusive rights to bridal shower with Britain’s OK! mag
* $50,000 to have bachelorette party at Tao in Las Vegas

Stuff they got for free
* $15,000 to $20,000 Hansen’s Bakery wedding cake
* $20,000 Vera Wang wedding dress and fittings
* $40,000 for two more Vera Wang evening dresses
* $400,000 in Perrier Jouet Champagne
* $150,000 in hair and makeup for photo shoots and TV “home video”
* $10,000 in Lehr & Black wedding invitations

We can't find the money to educate kids, feed/house the homeless or take care of the medical needs of our elderly - but seeming can prioritize the money to pay some soft porn ho to say "i do" on camera.

I feel sick.

2. Micro reflects macro
In this case, we got to see how money calls to bigger money for selling ones self out.

And people laugh at me when I tell them that the rich often get perks they don't have to pay for.

3. Seriously?
The easiest example is airline miles and upgrade perks.

Do people not understand the phrase "the rich get richer" has nothing to do with investments (or tax rates!) and everything to do with station in life dictating whether one pays their way or not?

4. I don't watch TV, so who are these people and why does anyone care about them?

5. They are reality TV people, second class actors getting
paid like superstars.

6. Companies/people will give rich people all this expensive stuff
And then they'll gripe about giving food to a starving, homeless person. Sickening!
