Pro-labor and working people? Must see this!

Labor History Timeline at link.

History is full of opportunities to see how our collective power has changed American and the World. This time line will include important historical references to the Labor movements actions, triumph, and challenges. In addition we will be infusing the “history” with the Arts and Culture of the movement so that we can see just how creative organizing, songs, music, art, and performance are influenced by, AND influence, the Labor Movement and Unions.

2. Shocking reality about the IBEW
Here is a pic of the 1929 IBEW Convention attendees, - notice the large participation and representation by Women members.

7. It is a little different to get around in the timeline

The plus signs at the bottom will get you through 500 years. There is also a slider. It might be a browser problem if your on an older version.

8. Thanks so much.
Many people I discuss labor with know nothing about the history of labor, and how working people sacrificed for the rights that are now taken for granted in the workplace, etc. They ignorantly spout Limbaughisms about how unions are bad and no longer necessary. Many of them are even moderately liberal but relatively uneducated.

None of them have ever even heard of Eugene Debs.

So the LHF website is a total goldmine for me as far as being able to show someone the progression of sacrifice and gain for labor.

“Ten thousand times has the labor movement stumbled and bruised itself. We have been enjoined by the courts, assaulted by thugs, charged by the militia, traduced by the press, frowned upon in public opinion, and deceived by politicians. 'But notwithstanding all this and all these, labor is today the most vital and potential power this planet has ever known, and its historic mission is as certain of ultimate realization as is the setting of the sun.”
-Eugene Debs
