From Blitzschnell

Paul Ryan who's corporate backed
A sense of compassion has lacked
When asked 'bout jobs
This GOP snob
Talked 'bout the light bulb freedom act

Paul who always seems sore
Doesn't want to hear from the poor
To keep them away
He plans to pay
A bouncer to work the door

2. Our representatives are allowing access "by invitation only".
You have to respond to an e-mail invitation and then they put your name on the list.
But if your name is not on the list when you get there, you're not allowed access to their townhall meeting.

I'll bet Robert D. Novak would have loved that concept of using lists like that.

3. Only answering questions of people who pay for the privilege?
Isn't that called soliciting a bribe? I'm just asking now. Cause maybe it's got some other name nowadays.

Should there be an ethics investigation if this is true about any member of Congress?

4. Obama went up to the hill, to pass a stimulus bill

he needed the cash or the country would crash
so they gave him a couple of trill

Just where did the capital go
nobody will ever know
but two years went by in the blink of an eye
and again he's asking for dough

as far as the eye can see
there's fiscal insolvency
the liars and crooks couldn' balance the books
and got downgraded by S&P

meanwhile I'm still unemployed
and more than a little annoyed
as I bought an abode that's worth less than is owed
and foreclosure I can not avoid

and then there's the war that's fought by the poor and nobody knows what for
they say we can't leave but I don't believe
that they even know why anymore

Now wall street is tumbling down
and congress is nowhere to be found
it's all very strange, this hope and change
that our president once tossed around

And as I have done in the past
when November comes at last
I'll remember the truth, in the voting booth
and throw the bums out on their ass

5. Purple Tea-Bagger?
My Mom's favorite poem was by Gelett Burgess although she always thought it was by Ogden Nash.
I never saw a purple cow.
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather see than be one.

My take:

I never saw a good Tea-Bagger
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow
I'm sure there will never be one.

Now I just have to worry about Burgess coming after me.
Ah, yes, I wrote the "Purple Cow"—
I'm Sorry, now, I wrote it;
But I can tell you Anyhow
I'll Kill you if you Quote it!
