Earlier this afternoon there was an Amber Alert issued for a three-year-old girl. Just now on the news, they went to audio remote for an update on the missing child. The reporter was speaking from outside the child's home. A few seconds into the update, the reporter stopped, paused briefly and then excitedly reported that the little girl was just now being returned to her home. No further details, yet. But I'm sitting here crying.

News like this we need more often.


Update: She was at a nearby relative's house where she'd apparently been waiting to be found in a game of hide-and-seek.
