Holy Bleeping Bleep: Can somebody please talk Chuck Grassley into retirement?

This guy makes Chuck Todd look like a genius. And that's a tall order.

Ames, Iowa – After the Republican Debate, various politicians and their staff made their way into the “Spin Room” to meet with the press and answer their questions.

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley (R) took some time to talk with Osky News about the evenings debate.

I was curious what his thoughts were on the Straw Poll and it’s importance in helping to solidify the candidate for the Republican Party for the next election. “We’ve had an opportunity in at least two and maybe three and four cases, to help the next president become the next president, I think that’s solidified. I think the involvement of people in this audience and you saw the intensity of their feelings on some of these issues as well as the fact that Iowans take this responsibility of participating in the caucuses in both political parties very very strong. I think because of our civic mindedness it puts us in the forefront.”

2. Sure did see it.
Nuttier than a squirrel turd.

Iowans seem, on the whole, sensible.

So why the hell do they have Steve King and Chuck Grassley in Congress?

I really don't understand it.

4. Once Grassley was saner. Once in removal of a senator is near impossible
King represents a part of Iowa known as eastern Nebraska.

5. Yes. The Missouri River seems to have leached all sanity out
of the western edge of our state. It starts in Montana, for whatever that's worth.

And the Mississippi, conversely, which arises in Minnesota (home of Mondale, Wellstone, Humphrey, et al) fertilizes the eastern edge of the state, which has produced Bruce Braley, whom I hope to help elect President some day. Soon.
