Visuals do it for me nearly every time. In fact, watching a comedians face as he tells his joke can multiply the hilarity factor by 10,000. A picture can send me into tears of joy or sorrow depending on the subject.

I remember when I was about to change my son's wet diaper. Figured it was safe and low and behold the little sucker let loose again within seconds of undoing the diaper. Little firehose he was had me cracking up til the tears came to my eyes. Him laughing at the same time made it 100 times more hilarious.

BTW, I'm reasonably sure people don't hate Mrs. Bachmann (self included) but I definitely a hate/despise/abhor her brand of politics.

Alton Brown (Food Network show Good Eats) had a receipie that looked good, and made a point that they get greasy when they're overcooked (or, as I've seen done, they stick them back in the oil to reheat them).

So dogs at a fair might be hot-or-miss, but it might be worth trying to make them "fresh" at home.
