My main complaint about the "super committee" is that
it's and even steven divide between republicans and dems, same as with the health care deal even tho we had a majority then.
We have what's called a congress with two houses, and numerous committees already. If they would all do their jobs, a super committee would be as useless as a bicycle for fish.

1. IMO the "super committee" demonstrates the failure of congress. It's also
the flaw of having two dominate political parties rather than at least three. Two parties are always going to be locking horns. It's like kids sitting around watching a perpetual domestic argument.

Three parties would break the deadlocks.

11. I see this 'body'
as UNCONSTITUTIONAL.....we no longer have a 'representative' government. Instead of calling it 'Super Congress,' they changed the name to 'Super Committee.' Hideous.

And all of those stupid 'triggers.' Yea, wait till those 'triggers' (on a gun) blow the safety net to smithereens. And it won't be anyone's fault...it was a 'trigger.'

3. Another tact to keep the American citizen removed from the
decision-making process. In essence neutering us. We are insignificant. It's all become a big dog & pony show w/o the .

10. As I read the Constitution it is the duty of every member of the House and Senate to decide
I did not know that we switched to a Government by 7 people, a committee and the President.

12. Agreed - created to fail. Especially when half of them owe their
allegiance to Grover Norquist and not the the United States.

13. My major complaint: it exists.
It's worse than an even Dem/Repuke membership: conservative Dems give the terrorists the edge.
