Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's memoirs to go on sale at 4 small Detroit area bookstores
DETROIT — The memoirs of ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick are expected to go on sale at four small Detroit area bookstores.

A media company run by Kilpatrick's sister says in a release Monday that "Surrendered! The Rise, Fall and Revelation of Kwame Kilpatrick" will be available on Tuesday.

The company says people who ordered copies should receive their books on Monday.

Kilpatrick chronicles his political ascent and fall fueled by a text-messaging sex scandal involving his former top aide.

1. He is fighting it in court but.....
He will not profit from it until his huge financial obligation is paid back to Detroit. I am just thrilled he is no longer polluting our state. The day he left the air felt cleaner.

3. I can't imagine that they are going to sell more than a few thousand copies.
Frankly, most people just aren't that interested in him, and the details will be reported by the local media.

It's not going to be a run away best seller that pays his debt to the Court, that's a given.
