2. Oh. I was going to guess stupid viewers.
Good point though. I don't know what has to happen to get MSNBC out of prison mode.

3. Viewers that love to have their own preconcieved notions and prejudices...
... repeated back to them.

Liberals are much too much like herding cats to ever have a successful liberal channel.

4. It's the same over and over
All the shows say mostly the same things with little difference to them. Some have side shows, rewrites, worst persons in the world, etc. but, other than that, they report the same with a different spin depending on which channel one watches. Not much happens politically on the weekends and mostly MSNBC is a Place for Politics. Go to Current and watch the documentaries, they're very informative.

I wish CNN would go back to the format of 24 hour news and get rid of the talking heads.

5. An aged, dwindling audience share?
Graphics that could hold the attention of a half blind infant? On air talent with serious hair issues?

8. I hate to say this but they have ratings ...
Whatever formula they use seems to work. I personally suspect that it is a lot of mostly blond babes as anchors or commentators with long legs and stripper shoes.

Unfortunately that theory does not explain the popularity of O'Reilly, Hannity and Greta Van Susteren.

Check the ratings for Thursday, August 4, 2011 at:

Murdoch originally paid to have Fixed News on all cable and satellite networks FREE as part of the "basic" package...
giving his network 100 Times the population coverage than any other network in this country has ever enjoyed.

As he gained market share and programs like "the Simpsons" established Fox basic channels started paying him...

Before someone goes blah blah nbc cbs abc...those are national networks Divided into regional broadcast areas and do not guarantee the same programming at the same time or same content...NOT dedicated nationally like Fixed News (Propaganda) channels... You also have FOX Regional and local Programming...but FOX NEWS is their national propaganda base.

Oh and MSNBC and Current TV?
Both of those channels are not in most basic channel packages...you have to PAY to gain access to MSNBC or Current...

Fox News therefore has a "free" in a sense, market share, that is 100% larger than ANY other network or competitor on the air ways currently in the US.

Just think US History...

How did our founding fathers get their message all over the colonies so that there was such a united front and a large segment of the populous in step with them against the British...

Massive Informative Partisan Propaganda, in the form of Pamphlets, spread across the colonies when reading writing and books were scarce...

You want to change it? Get someone to get rid of the Murdoch clan once and for all and send Ailes along with em...I suggest ship em off to Tehran and see how they do...Oh and for good measure add the Koch's and Bush clans.
