OMG! That Rick Perry thing is just something right out of a bad dream...
Decided to follow a link to the stream (http://theresponseusa.com/)

It is completely inconceivable to me how far this nation has fallen.

Jesus is going to save us? Pleading Jesus' blood to end abortion?

This is so...unsettling.

I also was surprised by that, especially
since I have seen so many posts about all the empty seats. But then again, I guess you can make it look good with camera angles when you are doing your own filming. But you are right, there are a lot of people. And it is really hot there! I guess I should be kind and say "god bless them". But I won't. I will quote you by saying "save us all".

MATTHEW CHAPTER 6

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 ¶ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

89. That verse describes Perry's teabagger/Randian prayer meeting to a T!
5 ¶ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

If the teabagger rethugs ever take over America they would shortly be burning books and then their political opponents at the stake. All in the name of their savior Ayn Rand!

Perry and his ilk need to meditate on why Texas is baking away into a desert after they prayed to God to break the drought. A tropical storm was headed right for Texas and it evaporated before hardly a drop hit the dried out land.

Hmm...

Where are all the rethuglican preachers who pronounced the wrath of God had descended on Japan and New Orleans because of their sins? What about Texas freeper preachers????? Surly their sins must be great to have the heavens shut tight like a drum against them for so long, eh?

You can pray to your unholy trinity(Mammon, Rand and Limpballs) all u want baggers, it ain't going to do a thing for yah!

Maybe it was the twisted way that the goodness of Christianity is being used to launch a destructive crusade against our Country and our Democratic Republic.

This is so sick. The love of Christ is not what is the real reason for this pray-in. If it were Rick Perry would not be there as a politician. He would bring reason and good works. He should be struck down by the God he is abusing.

False profit I see the your shadows in this sleekly piously evil spectacle.

Which is really scary since I live among those people.

I'm losing all hope. They are begging Jesus to make things better. Hell, Perry couldn't even get God to make it rain, instead getting a very bad drought. Now he's asking for a healed nation.

I don't know what 8-9000 looks like, but that has to be part of the stadium, as it sure couldn't be 71,000 people in there. I think that's what it held. Anyone know?

What are they praying for this time? Rain again? Maybe God made the last tropical storm that was supposed to hit Texas fizzle out just to spite them.

Watching some of these people is scary. It looks like many of them expect God to come down into the stadium right now. I bet half of them are really praying that the Lord smites Obama. The other half are probably asking to win the lottery.

64. The stadium has AC, right?
There's your answer. You know how hot it's been in Texas for WEEKS. Friends in Houston have been reporting rolling blackouts for hours at a time and I imagine it's happening in other areas, as well.

Well timed rolling blackouts are the best way to boost attendance at a free, air conditioned pulpit pounding extravaganza.

61. Ack - Christian Rock
reminds me of the South Park where the boys new band isn't selling well, so they flip to Christian Rock and become HUGE.

62. Stick a fork in the United States. We're finished.
Perry will get the GOP nomination and he will crush Obama in a 1980 type landslide. And The United States will break into pieces like the Soviet Union did.

This country is finished. And it's all being done in the name of a man who talks the Jesus talk, but walks the Ayn Rand walk.

70. Is it just me! Have you noticed the music sounds like the SAME song over and over?
I swear they haven't changed keys once!
It just keeps droning on and on, same 3 chords, on and on....and on...
Think maybe it is meant to hypnotize the crowd?
Drive them deeper into delusional states of x-tianity?
It's driving me nuts- can't listen much longer.
I think I have gotten the jest of the hate fest by now.
It's just sort of captivating in a horrifying way.

I personally consider "All the Seats were Occupied" to be one of the greatest songs of the Prog Rock (Progressive Rock) era.

94. Its cool ... but only if I can pick the prayers!!!
"Dear Lord, bless our 7th grade girl's lacrosse team today. Send them into battle against the Jackson Middle School Tigers, so that we might smite them in your honor, sending the little harlots home crying to their parents for wearing a uniform of mixed fabrics, while worshiping an animal from the heathen land of Africa. Amen."

The funniest part about this ... These are the same IDIOTS who hate public school teachers ... and yet they want the public school teachers they hate to teach their kids (and ours) religion.

Do they not see that? They are insane.

76. OK, who here has read Darrel Ray's _The God Virus_?
This is exactly what Ray's talking about. The music, the thrumming bass, the cadence of the preacher's sermons, the emotional wailing of the testimonials, the speaking-in-tongues. It's mass hypnosis designed to get you high as a kite on endorphins, hallucinate "God talking to you and filling you with the Holy Spirit" and filling you with a fresh virus load so you can become a biovector for Jesus and spread it around.

these people are going to take over our country. They already have infiltrated the military, local school boards, media and so on. You better pray we don't get Palin, Bachman or Perry. We will be in very deep trouble. I am a religious person but I believe in separation of church and state.

They have created quite the network here to capture people who bought what they were selling, it's connected to Billy Graham Ministries, which I find disturbing on so many levels. These people are certifiable and they walk among us.
