Now you too can play the future of the American economy

Objectives are to keep the prison running, keep the staff happy, keep the prisoners in line, all while trying to make money.

It just wandering the computer store the other day when this title with it's 4 sequels jumped out at me. What could be more fun than hours spent trying to make profit off the human joy that is the American prison industry!

Seems like it would be more realistic if you could spend your profit to bribe legislatures to creating more laws aimed at needlessly packing your for-profit prison. Oh well there's always Prison Tycoon 6 to think of.

If you're worried, yes there's an app for that

1. Keeping the staff happy
is not very realistic, though.

Maybe it should be about exploiting the staff and threatening them with layoffs while consistently cutting their pay and increasing their workload. That would be realistic.

I agree that, without a political side, where you get judges to do your bidding and laws enacted in your favor, with entrapment bonuses and illegal immigrant sweeps, the game falls short of a true-to-life simulation.
