Maddow: ‘Rush Limbaugh wins’

In a rare event Friday night, Rachel Maddow conceded a point to conservative Rush Limbaugh.

“Rush Limbaugh wins!” she said.

A clarification: Maddow played a clip from Limbaugh’s radio show questioning Obama’s date of birth (Thursday was the president’s birthday.) Friday, she issued an on-air correction and said that she hadn’t realized the clip was old because birther site World Net Daily had labeled it as a new clip.

However, she said, the thesis that Limbaugh was using Obama’s race as ammunition still stands, then played a clip of him yelling “tar baby” on his radio show.

2. Can't you be expelled from a country for

hating it so much? He goes out of VOA too. (or at least, that was so in the past...I don't think he's been removed)

3. Not America. You're allowed to hate America, the President, anyone you please, so long as

you don't get violent about it or make credible threats of violence.

He was never on VOA--he was on Armed Forces Radio for awhile, there. They are totally different agencies with different audiences. VOA targets foreign citizens in totalitarian regimes and AFR's audience is military servicemembers and civilian DOD personnel and their families stationed overseas.

I'm glad it was Armed Forces rather than VOA, but glad to see by your post, he's no long there either.

Has he ever crossed the line and made a credible threat?

5. I've heard of him making some pretty egregious statements

but I really don't know, as I cannot listen to him. You have never seen a geezer move so fast as you would me when that jerk comes on the radio--I'm lightning quick to change the channel!
