Epic Fail of a hand-made bumper sticker

[The Backlash Cometh]

It was written in black magic marker on cardboard, carefully wrapped in plastic and fastened to one side of the back of the car. On the top it said "USA:" Then, three checked boxes followed:

Broke
In Debt
And still over-spending.


On the other side of the car was a more commercial bumper-sticker, though it was crinkling around the edges. It was the familiar yellow ribbon with the words: Please support our troops.

I think that's what you call cognitive dissonance since you can't fight wars on two different fronts without spending lots of money.

1. They have been brainwashed to believe that all the money is going to

welfare (and in their racist minds, that equates to black people or illegal immigrants) and forget that it costs money to fight wars.

2. Too funny. Now if their pre-printed bumper sticker said, "Support

Our Oops!" then there would be no (or far less) cognitive dissonance :)

4. You know the little test questions with two columns and you have to match the two?

In one column (A) you have Broke, In Debt, and "And still over-spending"

Then in the next column (B) you have War, War, and War.

Now, take a phrase from column A and match it to a word in Column B.

who support the troops, but are against the wars. I can't make the same assumption that you make.

8. And there's the dilemma.

The answer is, don't put our soldiers in harm's way by overstretching our resources.

It isn't about emotional support. We all support the troops that way. It's about leaders who don't know how to live within their means. It would help if they actually paid attention to the intelligence before making decisions on where to attack next.
