It was a very layered topic that I attempted to shortcut and I should have spent more time unpeeling the layers so that it would have be more clear and would have required less explanation and less room for misinterpretation.

and to be honest, I had an argument/remark for most of what you wrote. Some as unkind as the ones posted there. But I didn't post a reply because I actually understood what you were trying to say, as I expect more than a few of the other posters did as well.

The atmosphere on DU is so ugly right now. It seems like everyone is angry, looking for a fight. Frankly, I think it is the posters who knowingly used you to vent their anger who should be apologizing. I'm sorry you got piled on the way you did.
