Debt debate: What comes next
By Charles Riley @CNNMoney
August 4, 2011: 12:15 PM ET

<snip>

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The fight over the national debt is not over. Not even close. Sure, lawmakers voted to raise the debt ceiling. But over the next few months, Washington is set to engage in battle after battle over the fiscal course of the federal government.

<And...>

Congress has made little progress on the normal appropriations process, and faces the risk of starting the year with a short-term stopgap spending plan, called a continuing resolution.

That sounds an awful lot like what happened with the fiscal 2011 budget, when the process degenerated into a protracted battle that brought the government to the edge of a shutdown. Congress passed seven continuing resolutions over the course of six months.

8. It is rumored that the two men grew up together.
Edited on Thu Aug-04-11 08:48 PM by truedelphi
Both men had as children parents who worked at the Ford Foundation.

It is quite possible that they were playmates.

I made a point of watching the first WH correspondants' dinner after Obama was elected. He stated how pleased he is with Geithner, and that he is "my good buddy."

Geithner works inside an office that is located down the hall from the Oval OFfice.

Not only are these facts pertinent, but once a person understands the true mission of the major "foundations", including the "Ford Foundation," and how while the public is led to perceive them as "charities," in reality the foundations exist to undermine any population's ability to control their own nation and their own resources, then it becomes more than a little bit scary as to who the President really is.

4. What a pertinent comment.
What will happen in the Budget War if nobody shows up to FIGHT for the Working Class & The Poor?
.
.
.

About the same thing that happened last week.
The really sad part is that President Obama could have a HUGE ARMY at his back
if he chose to fight for these overwhelmingly popular issues.

Who will STAND and FIGHT for THIS American Majority?
You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.

10. If Obama plays his cards right this could be the issue that gets him re-elected.
But he's going to have to FIGHT.
