I have seen and heard logical sounding arguments and graphs from both sides of this issue and I am more confused now than when the debate about Medicare reform first began.
First off who is pushing for Medicare reform? You know the big insurance companies are lobbying on this in Washington. Who else is lobbying? Either for or against? Is there a way to get the list of the firms lobbying for Medicare reform? That would be a good start.
Is there anyone who really knows their stuff on this, is trustworthy and is worth reading? Any links appreciated.
What I can't figure out is how on an issue as important as this one we can't at least get a consensus from the "experts", on whether something needs to be done or not. Anyone else feel the same way about this? It is like half the "experts", say there is nothing to worry about and the other half are saying the opposite. And then the media acts like both sides are talking sensible. How can that be? That can't be. One side is lying and the other is telling the truth. Simple as that.
Any input from reliable sources on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Preferably something written and explained in laymans terms.
Again, I have an open mind on this so I can be swayed either way by the evidence presented.
