Has everyone thanked their "no" voting representatives already?
I just called Zoe Lofgren's office. Out of my three, she was the only one who came through. Might not be a bad idea to show some appreciation as loudly as we showed disapproval of this "deal".

1. He voted "no" because "it didn't go far enough," so no, I have not.

13. That is exactly what I did for my 1 of 3 who voted it down
Opened with "as a liberal who did not vote for you" and then went on to thank him for his vote, even though I felt he did the right thing for all of the wrong reasons.

On the other hand, I told my 'yes' voting blue dog to please add me to a do not call/do not mail list.

4. Both of my allegedly "liberal" senators got a note from me and it wasn't a thank-you, for voitng yes
In it, I reminded them that their voting record decides my voting choices. I expect I'll get a fundraising letter in reply.

6. Thanks. That's a good idea. My Rep voted No, just like you'd want a Georgia Democrat to do
Just like you'd think any Democrat would do. He was one of the last holdouts on that 2009-2010 Health "Care" Swindle.

But now I think that, like Conyers, he's reached his limit and has just "had enough".

11. I think I better go look at the list of "no" voting House Democrats
because if there is a residual spine in this party, they are it.

Here are the votes by state, if anyone would like to take a look.

I'm sure they appreciated the gesture.

40. No.
Nebraska
Aye NE-1 Fortenberry, Jeffrey
Aye NE-2 Terry, Lee
Aye NE-3 Smith, Adrian

Johanns (R-NE), Yea
Nelson (D-NE), Nay

Nebraska split along party lines for a change. Ben won't be a candidate for the super committee. He's very much opposed to it.

Isn't it interesting how Bloomberg phrased this report?
The House voted 269-161 for the plan negotiated by leaders and President Barack Obama over the weekend. Ninety-five Democrats voted in favor and 66 Republicans in opposition. The measure goes to the Senate for a final vote planned tomorrow.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-08-01/obama-debt-cap-deal-with-congress-leaders-avoids-default-vote-due-today.html

Same facts, different phrasing: 174 Republicans voted in favor and 95 Democrats in opposition.

Just some things that make you go, "Hmmm."
