Why do the republicans hate air traffic in this country....

1. Because those assholes embarassed Tom Coburn, and they must pay (nt)

2. Their masters have a network of private jet ports scattered around the country

and don't need the infrastructure of commercial air travel. In fact, they find it inconvenient to do things like file flight plans and have to bow to the wills of air traffic controllers as they pass through high traffic areas.

Congressgrifters think the wealthy will always allow them to use this separate and unequal infrastructure to go on junkets and visit the home state during campaign season.

3. They don't hate Air Traffic...just the people who

make it work. Delta is in a union busting move and Inhoff hates them for not bowing down to his senatorship when he almost killed some people on a closed runway.

Government shouldn't be involved in things like this, because government is inefficient! See how inefficient it is? People like me can break it! Now it's broken! See? Doesn't work very well, does it? Let's sell it to my good buddies, who incidentally contributed to my campaign, to allow them to run it privately, profitably, and without government interference from people like me!

lot of them when their union, PATCO, when on strike.

It seems they enjoy crippling the air traffic system for some strange reason.

And I'm actually learning to be an air traffic controller, so it's rather upsetting to me.

Jets were made for the wealthy to 'get away from it all', not for those foul blue-collar people, damn them all! They infested the place like so many cockroaches. Why, I even saw one in FIRST CLASS the other day, and he didn't go back to coach when instructed. The NERVE!
