I think we are pretty well there. That old curtain at the back of the theatre looks pretty worn and threadbare from where I'm sitting. I've never seen the brick wall more plainly. They're really not even trying to hide it anymore, it's all out in the open. And they don't care, they know they can't be touched ....

alley, behind that brick wall, the ceaselessly growing numbers of poor and homeless gather, some with very malnourished and frightened children.

Safety net? You can't even find a hammock made out of dental floss, it is that bad.

We are all in this together whether you realize that now or later. When we start acting that way, then something might happen.

Meanwhile, keep an eye out for the Dominionists who have been lurking and working in the background. They are poised to exploit the kind of scenario we are falling into. I'm hoping we can keep that exposed, (as several posts here have) in order to prevent a creeping theocracy. That's something useful for the Wealthuglicans and their agenda.
