You know that the Repugs and the corporate media will attempt to frame it as an "Obama tax increase". BULLSHIT! The legislation was written with a sunset provision. It was pushed by Bush, passed by a Republican congress, and signed into law by the drunken frat boy.
Bush and the Republicans own it, and we can not allow them to claim otherwise.

1. Bush/Delay put in a sunset provision so that the long-term deficit looked "better"
It was a public relations gimmick.

2. You're not paying attention.
The sunset provision put into place by the (R) Congress and * came and went.

We're now working on the tax decrease as approved by a split Congress and Obama. When it expires, *those* are the people responsible for the sunset provisions.

It'll be viewed as a tax increase because taxes will increase. A lot of people will view it as a negative decrease, considering that the taxes at the old level are properly the government's and are being "expensed" by not being collected.
