Whether they are teabaggers or not - every single one of them acquiesced to the hostage taking of our economy by the GOP RW.

None of them - including Snowe and Collins of Maine - condemned this tactic.

Go to their town meetings

Shout them down

yup

1. I think we need to stay away from violence and uncivil behavior, or else we
end up looking as bad as they do. On the other hand, I understand the frustration and the feeling that no matter what we do, we lose.

5. violence - I agree
"uncivil behavior"? Well - I guess that depends on your definition of uncivil. I'd say that attempting to hold the country hostage over cuts that we can't afford is pretty damn "uncivil". We play nice and we keep losing.

2. They won't have any town hall meetings. They learned their lesson last summer.
They'll have "invite only" private meetings designed to look like town hall meetings.

9. Look, all I know is I heard about pastors/protestors etc. being arrested in the
Capitol. I've heard of people being tased at political events just for asking questions.
I'm just saying, this isn't the America we used to have.

11. My local Republican had phone conferences where all Qs were screened
I give him credit, though, that he addressed a lot of "hard questions" about our Gashole Governor's cuts to Special Ed, and his reluctance to allow any taxes or fees on fracking.

But the point is, they edit and screen.

12. Mine does that too.
Screens calls etc. But he doesn't address the hard questions. Just does the hot button issues that his supporters salivate over.

13. This guy's district is evenly split D:R
Rabid talking points would lose him elections. He has to be seen as moderate to get re-elected.

I actually like the guy, and don't understand why he considers himself a Republican, except that he maybe feels he can get more done as part of the majority (the Rs in Pennsyltucky outnumber the Ds in Pittsburgh and Philly). But I'd love to see him leave the dark side and come into the light.

14. I have a tea party rep. I call him a traitor.
But I won't act like a teabagger myself.
