Dan Savage is using his fame for good – again – by targeting anti-gay presidential candidate Rock Santorum for a second time. The newest saga in their long-time battle involves Savage threatening to redefine the name Rick if the presidential nominee doesn’t stop spouting hate towards the LGBT community.
It all started in 2003 when Savage, writer of sex advice column Savage Love, created a new meaning for Santorum in retribution for the Republican Senator’s negative view of homosexuality.

Savage asked his readers to give Santorum a nasty new meaning. He chose the most vulgar term suggested and created a website.

The website has remained one of the top Google results for “Rick Santorum.”
