Who are Loughner's parents, what do they do, and have they commented at all? nt

Mrs. Loughner has worked for the city’s Parks Department for many years, Tucson officials confirmed. Mr. Loughner’s employment, if any, was not known. Mr. Woods and his father, Stephen, 46, said they rarely saw the older Mr. Loughner go anywhere.

No one was home, or came to the door, at the Loughners’ house on Sunday morning.

No matter what they believe or how they act they have to deal with this in a very sad and personal way. I guarantee if one of my sons did something like this there would be no press in my home or face. I would issue a statement about my sadness for the victims but that would be all anyone would hear from me. I simply can't imagine the pain they must be feeling.

5. From the little information that is out, it sounds like the father

may have something going and as if the mother was trying to keep things together. This kid got his DNA from somewhere.

The fact that their son made himself a spectacle doesn't impart any responsibility on them to do the same. Let them grieve in private, if that is their choice.

Now that information is starting to come in from people who knew him, it appears many people thought he needed help. As a parent, I can't help but wonder why he didn't get it.
