This will be a refreshing change...the Dems holding together while
the Repubs fall apart. I think maybe the days of Republican lock-step might be over.

Not a lot -- Just a little. Like holding together on something that's not a piece of dung

I'm really tired of Democratic discipline only being used to push bad stuff (like the Bush tax-cut extensions) or to kill or avoid good things (like the public option)

13. From my limited viewpoint, Reid's plan isn't that bad for
the time being.

14. Unfortunately, it prevents any positive initiatives from being pushed
There won't be the money to do anything constructive -- or at least that's what will be said

16. Frankly, at this point, I'm grateful it doesn't touch SS/Med.
I'll take that for starters.

8. Unless somethiung has changed while I've been out for a few hours....
then the "unity" is coalescing over the Reid Plan, which even Harry Reid said "is giving the GOP everything they wanted with a pretty pink bow."

6. You forget that the Tea Party and Republicans didn't plan on this.
They were expecting the democrats to cave, to bend to their will and hence, Obama as well. They are out of their element with the dems not capitulating.

10. Refreshing change - sure, if you want a cut in domestic programs of more than $1 trillion
and on SuperCongress, Son of Catfood Commission, to dictate cuts on SS/Med.

Nice to see our fearless leaders "holding together" on that. Very progressive, very Democratic of them.

Go team!

11. It's beautiful to behold the implosion.
Their unity and team work has been the GOP's greatest strength.
