TPM Dems Epic Cave: "Everything they asked for from the beginning."
"Everything they asked for from the beginning."

TPM reporting what seems to be epic Democratic cave:

Democrats don't currently have GOP buy-in on the plan, and House GOP aides were conspicuously silent about the proposal Sunday evening. But a highly placed Senate Democratic aide says the hope is that GOPers in both bodies feel pressed to support it on the grounds, more or less, that it's everything they've asked for from the beginning.

"It's $2.5 trillion in cuts and no revenue," the source said, before Reid's statement claiming a higher figure. "We think Republicans will have a hard time opposing it.

Democratic leaders left the White House Sunday reiterating that their opposition to a short-term debt limit increase is their only major bright line at this point.

3. Put together by Pelosi and includes the peace dividend
which assumes that the wars end. If Pelosi puts it together it may not be too horrible.

4. "Reid And Boehner Poised To Introduce Different Bills To Avoid Default"
is the headline at the link. Yet, "epic cave" is trotted out as the end result?

8. I'll say it again; "If you give a mouse a cookie...
pretty soon you'll find yourself without a roof over your head. Obama didn't just offer the mouse (rat) a cookie, he offered them the who damn kitchen right out of the gate. OF COURSE they are emboldened! He taught them to expect him to cave every time! Repugs only respect bullies and tough guys. When are Dems going to show them some backbone??

10. Pavlovian to the max.
Unfortunately, instead of drooling, the Repubs are biting Obama's arm off.

9. So how do we spin this so that the democrats and Obama look good?
I'm having trouble trying to figure out how this actually means that Obama is a brilliant negotiator and this all part of some greater plan.
