Boehner at White House for debt talks, despite dramatic walk-out Friday
Source: Raw Story
By Kase Wickman

Despite a dramatic announcement that he would no longer negotiate with the White House to hammer out a solution to the nation's debt crisis, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) is back at the White House Saturday morning.

Yesterday, Boehner released a letter to his colleagues in the House, explaining that he would negotiate directly with Senate Democrats.

“A deal was never reached, and was never really close,” Boehner wrote of the talks. “In the end, we couldn’t connect. Not because of different personalities, but because of different visions for our country.”

In a hastily called press conference Friday evening, President Barack Obama expressed anger at Boehner's tactics and stressed the importance of raising the debt ceiling before the country goes into default on August 2.

3. First Boehner quits. Typical Republicon quitter. But then...
Boehner (R) quits on quitting, thereby taking Republicon dishonor to an even skankier level that previously imagined.

5. "but because of different visions for our country.”
This just struck me

This has nothing to do with taxes or the debt ceiling or increasing jobs with a livable wage
This has to do with eliminating the poor
The republicans want to get rid of all the people they think are beneath them

It is all in the vision

The republicans have a vision of a two tier system for this country

This is why they can not negotiate, because they do not see the same problems

7. They were called back and they do not dare refuse. There is no
deal and Aug 2 is very close. If the do not go back they own the collapse even more clearly than they already do. Until the ceiling is lifted and the checks are in the mail they cannot turn their backs.
