Natsu Matsuri -Summer Festival -Pics (Japan)

Here are some pics of the Summer Festival going on on my island right now. I am lucky enough that my 2 sons are involved. One is playing flute on the boat and the other is dancing. They were born in the right year so they were able to participate.

The main focus is the "Shishi Mai" or "Shishi Dance" ("Lion Dance") It is something that is done in many Asian countries so it must have incredibly deep historic roots.
