Is the President finding his game?
The last few weeks have been chaotic and strange. As rumors escalated, the left went barking mad and the country agreed with them. The politicians blinked and said "Oh, that's why they call it the third rail". And now it looks like we may get a clean debt bill, which was always the best option, and the way it's been done for a hundred fucking years. The President was on TV twice. If he was dismayed by the furor he didn't show it. He was relaxed and in control. He seemed satisfied with the outcome. The Republicants are out of town, licking their wounds and, like John Boehner, having their calls held. They've been played, and they know it.

1. I wouldn't know. What is his game?
Watching him is like watching a ping pong match.

2. Only time will tell-but it won't take long
I just watched David Gregory video on MSNBC website and for once he wasn't a toad. He put the blame for failure squarely on Boner and quoted WH sources as saying how pissed Obama was that Boner wouldn't even answer his call. This is truly Obama's (and even the Congresscritters) definng moment-and all of us are in crossfire.
