that seems to be the new modus operandi for thieves. Politicians should not be able to use this tactic of ginning up crises and forcing major legislation through without giving Americans time to read it, debate it publicly, and respond.

It is OUTRAGEOUS that major legislation affecting bedrock social programs would be written up behind closed doors and then passed at deadline, before the public even has a chance to see it or respond. OUTRAGEOUS.

It enables the absolutely ludicrous conversations you see on DU now, where people are told to shut up and wait on their protests because they haven't seen the plan.

Pushing it through at deadline and preventing response, my friends, is *exactly* the plan.

And you know we can't have that.

Haven't you heard the private sector knows best? In everything.

I think when TV finally mass-hypnotized the majority of the populace into fear-based consumerist Pavrovian dogs we lost. Washington and the system was lost long before that.

Hands off my Social Security!
Hands off Latin America!

4. I guess the repubs
Are taking a page out of the health care bill negotiations.

Shove it through and then let us see what's in it.
