Stocks up on unexpected rise in jobless claims
Wha wha WHAT??? hahaha, Yahoo must have gotten their "daily reasons for the stock market rise/fall" list confused today:

www.yahoo.com

Of course then when you click on the link it you get to the article "Hope for European debt deal lifts markets".

Just goes to show you, if the market had been down today it would have been because of jobs, if it's up, they'll find some other random news article to explain it when neither one of those reasons probably has much to do with true market action.

3. Remember when the market went down when unemployment went up?
After all, less people working meant less spending.

But nowadays the market has nothing to do with the real world.

4. Tax Holiday the Off Shore Profits

is included in the Gang of 6 plan

Meaning they are going to open the flood gates to the MOST abused Corp Tax Loophole in America

Best Estimates of $100 Billion annually slip through this 1 loop hole alone. Additionally CBO reports the last time the Flood Gate was opened on this loop hole in 2005 in resulted in a Net Loss of Jobs as most the EXEMPT profits went to Share holders and CEO bonuses

. Forest Laboratories Inc., maker of the antidepressant Lexapro, does as well, Bloomberg News reported in May. The New York-based drug manufacturer claims that most of its profits are earned overseas even though its sales are almost entirely in the U.S. Forest later disclosed that its transfer pricing was being audited by the IRS.

5. I stopped listening to the "why" three decades ago
since the reasons never had anything at all to do with the market. In fact, I realized that the "experts" on the tube were anything but, that wizard hats, robes and crystal balls should have been their dress code instead of the business suit since their reputations for accurate predictions were just about on a par with fairground fortune tellers.

6. They're just like the weatherman predicting rain
Saying it's not going to rain every day is more accurate than a weatherman
