President Goodhair.
It sure looks like Rick Perry is running and this freak scares me. I think he could win and the prospect of that is chilling. He's a right wing fundie nut who's every bit as bad as Palin and Bachmann and a lot more marketable.

And no, this isn't a post to try and scare people into voting for Obama. I understand and respect people who feel they can't vote for him.

1. The ads morphing Perry and Shrub are inevitable. Marketing him won't be easy

Not beyond the (R) primary that is.

6. Not that short
There are his paleocon values, and a lot of casual voters will associate him with Bush. Two big problems for him.

Impeach Perry. (That bumpersticker will go up the day after the selection; er, I mean "election").

11. The rumors about Goodhair being Gay will be fun to watch
Goodhair used to be a male cheerleader at Texas A&M and there have been stories about his wife catching him in bed with a male GOP leader. One variation of this story is that the $10,000 a month house rental paid for by the Texas taxpayers was part of the bribe to her to remain married to Goodhair. The state of Texas has spent more than $600,000 to keep Goodhair's wife happy with this rental http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/17/rick-perry-rental-mansion_n_578311.html

It will be interesting to see if these rumors are pursued by Romney or the other members of the GOP. Pawlenty already leaked Bachmann's migraines to the press. Repugs are far nastier in their primary fights than Democrats.

12. Please, please, please run Governor Goodhair!
'Cause if you do we don't have to have you as our governor.

Sincerely,

The State of Texas

PS: I support your run for presidency because I know you'll lose.

13. Contributions to PERRY, RICK
http://www.followthemoney.org/database/StateGlance/contributor_details.phtml?&c=116443&s=TX&y=2010&summary=1

snip* Texas Governor Rick Perry is expected to officially launch a 2012 presidential bid any day now. There's been no shortage of hints to suggest he'll throw his hat in the ring. In June, he gave a speech at a secretive Colorado summit held by the right-wing billionaire Koch brothers. This week, a group of Perry supporters signed a lease on an Iowa campaign headquarters. And last night, potential donors to his campaign met in Austin to weigh his fundraising chances.

So will he be able to muster the cash for a 2012 run? Well, judging by his past efforts, he could be a fundraising powerhouse, like a certain other famous Texan politician. A staggering 24 members of the Forbes 400 list – that's 6% of America’s richest people – donated to Perry's last gubernatorial campaign in 2010. They include some of the richest oilmen in Texas, Walmart heiress Alice Walton and a handful of big-name billionaires from out of state, like David Koch.

As you can probably surmise from the huge donations below, Texas imposes no limits on campaign cash from a single donor. In a federal race like the presidency, each donor can only give $2,500 per candidate. However, there's nothing stopping powerful 'bundlers' from collecting checks from their rich friends. President Obama is already taking advantage of these super-donors: billionaire Democrats including Penny Pritzker and Marc Benioff have already raised hundreds of thousands for the reelection campaign. Perry must be hoping his past billionaire donors will do the same. Per Texas state disclosure records:
