Israeli spies caught in New Zealand? Why?
Catch this one, before it goes down the memory hole . . .

"A New Zealand newspaper group is reporting that the deadly February earthquake in Christchurch unearthed a suspected Israeli spy ring.
Three Israelis died in the quake that killed 181 people. Other Israelis escaped the quake. The Fairfax newspaper group, which didn't state how it obtained the information, said one of the Israelis who died was carrying at least five passports."

6. "trolling mission" searching for identities they could steal?
Following the earthquake, Prime Minister John Key reportedly received four calls from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Soon after, Israel's civil defence chief traveled to Christchurch, while a complete Israeli urban search and rescue squad also scrambled to get there - at one stage being confronted by armed local police and forced out of a sealed-off section of the devastated city.

Three other Israelis, who had been travelling in a minivan with Mizrahi, were quickly evacuated back to Israel.

Prime Minister John Key refused to confirm details of an SIS investigation this morning, saying only that he was satisfied there had been no misuse of the police computer. Mr Key confirmed that a dead Israeli was found with multiple passports, but said that none of them were from New Zealand.

Asked if he had any reason to believe that Mossad agents had been active in Christchurch at the time of the earthquake, Mr Key told The New Zealand Herald, "I'm just not in a position to comment on those matters and I'm not going to. I don't think it is in the national interest to do so."

Political risk consultant Paul Buchanan, who has worked with intelligence officers in the US, told news website stuff.co.nz that he believed the four Israelis were probably on a "trolling mission" searching for identities they could steal.

10. They were in a van
Edited on Wed Jul-20-11 04:20 AM by bananas
according to the article in LBN:
"The Southland Times says an Israeli who was crushed to death in a van was found with at least five passports on his body.
It says the Israeli was part of a group suspected of trying to hack into the police computer system.
Three other Israelis in the van reportedly left the country within 12 hours."

11. New Zealand PM: No indication that Israeli killed in earthquake was a Mossad spy
Reports that an Israeli killed in the New Zealand earthquake in February was an intelligence agent were wrong, Prime Minister John Key said on Wednesday.

The Southland Times reported that an Israeli who was crushed in a van was found with at least five passports and was part of a group suspected of trying to hack into the police computer system.

But Key said an investigation found no evidence linking the group of four Israelis and their country's intelligence service, the Mossad.

"The unusual circumstances which triggered the investigation was the rapid departure from the country of the three surviving members of the group of Israelis in question," Key said.

"Security agencies conducted the investigation and found no evidence that the people were anything other than backpackers," he said.

When it comes out from named sources that this person had 5 passports, what will your response be?

23. Let's review, shall we?
Three young Americans go hiking in Iraq, near the Iranian border.

Hey, makes perfect sense to me: If I'm gonna go hiking, my first choice would be to travel to a ripped-apart, war-torn, violent country, and then walk the trails along said country's border with a fascist, totalitarian neighbor nation..

Dream vacation all the way.

25. Let's review...with facts...
Three young JEWS go hiking and wander into Iran. Thus, your comment. If you actual read anything about those Americans you would know they were not in any way "pro-Israel." They actually have written "anti-Israel" articles.

Just because you (and I) wouldn't choose such a location, doesn't mean others wouldn't. But, hey, they must be spys. :eyes:

You don't need no stinkin' facts, just unsourced reports. As for the Jews, here's a helpful hint, read the fucking sub-thread...it was about the hiker's taken by Iran.
