Netflix streaming is down.
Add the increase in prices and I see a lot of unhappy customers.

Netflix Streaming is Down

Netflix streaming is down on the PC, Roku, iPad, and other devices. The Netflix customer service line is busy, but no word from Netflix or NetflixHelps on Twitter yet.

21. my husband said they pulled a bunch of blockbuster kiosks out of places.
some had only been at those locations for a month even. prices for new rentals went up to $2 to $3 a night or was it 2.99 to 3.99 a night? i figured with netflix changing pricing taking them out was a bad movie. i don't know though. i have never used any of those things yet. I have thought about it though. but that is besides the point. our blockbuster went out a few months ago. it looks weird all closed up. maybe we'll see some local movie rental places open up again. who knows.

27. Actually, Blockbuster rentals are now 99 cents for 1 night
That's a good deal.

29. i think he said the older ones were 99cents and the new rentals were the 2-3 dollars.
maybe a new change. the kiosks they pulled hadn't seen any rentals at all. i would say $2 is a good deal considering how much it was for was it 2 day rental at blockbuster or 3 days? don't remember. As long as you are going to return it the next day that is. My biggest problem was always remembering to return movies on time.

7. It goes down on occasion
As for the price increase, while it's not good, the move is not surprising - demand is up. Ultimately though, I'll probably decide to go with the streaming-only plan, which will save me about three bucks over my current DVD/Streaming package. If I want to rent a video I can walk over to my local rental place and browse the choices in person.

17. Guess you'll have to find something else to do.
Is that such a big deal?

I don't understand the price increase either and have already agreed with Netflix that I should be paying less money for my usage, so I changed my plan. It's strange for a company to actually ask their customers to pay less for a service they're happy with, and tell them they should probably go elsewhere for other services.

I'm not happy with the price increase, but streaming is still great for me. I'll drop the dvds after next month though since I only have one out at a time.

That could be it because once what I was watching was over,
Ken Burns' series on Baseball, I got the notice that I didn't have a connection.
