No, Mister President, it WON'T bring your presidency down
"I have reached the point where I say enough," Obama said, according to the aide. "Would Ronald Reagan be sitting here? I've reached my limit. This may bring my presidency down, but I will not yield on this."

The Reagan line was unnecessary, but the rest of it was.

It won't bring his presidency down. On the contrary. It probably saved it.

6. Very valid point, and they ARE listening.
At some point, though, he's got to come up with his own lines (this one wasn't a bad start).

3. The Reagan line got headlines and subtly pointed out that Reagan had
several increases on the debt limit and raised taxes. I rather liked it. ;)

4. Reagan raised taxes 11 times. It was an inside baseball smackdown to every Republican who hears it.

8. It's beyond enough.
Newt Gingrich overplayed his cards and history is repeating itself. I thought the Reagan comment was perfectly appropriate in this instance.
