Does Murdoch's wiretapping extend to US? Ask James O'Keefe.

4 Charged in Incident at Office of Senator

NEW ORLEANS — The conservative activist who in January had been accused of tampering with the telephone system of Senator Mary L. Landrieu — a felony — will instead face only misdemeanor charges in the case, federal prosecutors said Friday.
The charges against the activist, James O’Keefe III, and three other men were made public in a bill of information, which often indicates that a plea deal has been made.
The new charge of entering the senator’s office on false pretenses comes with a maximum of six months in prison and a fine of $5,000. The original felony charges could have resulted in up to 10 years of prison time.
“We worked out an agreement with the government,” said J. Garrison Jordan, who represents Robert Flanagan, 24, the only New Orleans resident to be involved in the case.

4. Follow O'Keefe's funding. I would bet $1 it leads back to FOX
And thus to Murdoch.

8. Another interesting proposition to consider
Could O'Keefe be forced to testify about his funding in this operation? Double jeopardy prevents him from invoking 5th amendment protections.

3. Because hacking the e-mail with lame password questions
of a half-term governor is soooo much more serious.

6. I always wondered if James O'Keefe ...
wanted to photograph Sen. Landrieu's communications room...

because the cables in the room would have been labelled in such a way that they could have been traced and accessed perhaps in the basement of the building, or another area by someone who knew what to look for..

given that they would have the exact location of the room that was her communication hub..

Sorry... but I've wondered it for a long time.. :)

7. I think they were lucky they were arrested
before actual wire-tapping could occur and be proved in a court of law.
