We now have definitive proof that tax cuts do not create jobs.

9. agree - they can't have it both ways
THEY INSISTED on the Bush tax cuts. Why? Because rich people create jobs when they can keep more of their own money! Guess what? They did NOT create jobs. 10 long years - they did not create jobs.

BUSH TAX CUTS FAIL - that should be the headline

4. You don't subject religion to "proofs". Faith is not faith when it demands "proof"!

Proofs are the demand of heretics and heathens!

Test the Lord your God at your peril!

5. this one WaPo link backs you up 100% and then some (worth saving)
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/01/AR2010010101196.html

the graphs are great - proving Bush was a total failure in every way.

"There has been zero net job creation since December 1999. No previous decade going back to the 1940s had job growth of less than 20 percent. Economic output rose at its slowest rate of any decade since the 1930s as well.

Middle-income households made less in 2008, when adjusted for inflation, than they did in 1999 -- and the number is sure to have declined further during a difficult 2009. The Aughts were the first decade of falling median incomes since figures were first compiled in the 1960s."

(I wish I could find the "quote" thingy)

8. The quote thingy?
You mean the one that would make text look like

(I wish I could find the "quote" thingy)

Clink the "HTML lookup table" on the "Message options" line (just above the Subject line). I used the Blockquotes html--just cut and paste the html, then replace "Text" with the actual quote.

6. The tax cuts were meant to damage our economy. The jobs part was head fake.
Bush's tax cuts have done what they were intended to do: create the conditions to invoke "austerity measures," like looting Social Security.

17. Tax cuts do something, especially at the low end.
But it's not as efficient as other things.

13. Kick /R Tax cut don't create Jobs.. Supply Side economics does not work..
Edited on Sat Jul-09-11 07:42 PM by lib2DaBone
A man has a tire store. No one is buying tires because they are broke.

You give the Tire store owner a tax break.. still no one buys a tire. There is no demand.. so the Tire store owner does not hire any one. You give the Tire store owner payroll tax breaks and incentives.. yet no one buys a tire.

Meanwhile.. working Americans are driving around on bald tires. They NEED a new tire... but they have no money. So they do not buy any thing.

You give the worker a 50 cents an hour raise so he can afford to buy a tire.. now the tire store owner sees traffic into his shop! The economy starts to pick up. The dollar starts to move.

The only problem.. is Republicans HATE to give a decent wage to hard working Americans.. it is against their cold-blooded , Rush Limbaugh , supply side cheapskate mentality.

As long as a Republican has what HE/She wants... nothing else matters.. even if they soil their own nest in the process. Greed... Greed.. Greed.. Ignorance...Stupidity... it's the Republican way.

18. Tax cuts don't create jobs - demand does
demand for products opens up factories, not tax cuts. Would anyone looking to start a business when taxes are at 36%, not open up that business if taxes are at 39%? Who honestly thinks that would make any difference? Only stupid Republicans. People are not opening businesses, investing in new machinery or in the stock market because they're afraid they'll lose their shirt like in 2007-2008, not because they're afraid taxes will go up 3%. Anyone who thinks differently, is a partisan hack.
