$137k Medicaid Payment to Michele Bachmann’s Husband
Ooopsie. Michele Bachmann denounces Medicaid whilst her husband takes $137,000 from Medicaid. Between this take, the $260,000 in farm subsidies, the government job, the $24,000 government grants to “train” their clinic employees, and the foster children state payments, one wonders exactly what Michele Bachmann means by “small government” and standing on our own two feet.

Can you say - hypocrite?

1. Speaking of hypocritical, we'd be denouncing him if he refused to take Medicaid
patients, wouldn't we?

I don't know what her position on Medicaid is, but he's making less taking Medicaid patients than he would if he only took full-pay. So should we really be criticizing them for that?

3. I have to agree, you raise a good point.
I had not thought of it from that perspective. The vision of a nitwit like Bachmann having any credibility whatsoever just makes my blood boil though.

4. If he thinks goverment should not be involved, he should not take them.
Period.

He's taking their money now because that's what he can get ... and what he wants if for all of them to pay him even more.

That is the reality.

5. I don't know what his position is. He is not his wife.
But I'm for every doctor taking Medicaid and Medicare, all insurances, and cash. I think more of him that he does take Medicaid.

7. So you think he supports Medicaid?
Try this ... he can keep taking it ... but his WIFE, the Presidential candidate is AGAINST IT ... and his income also enriches her.

Or ... we on the left should look away as Geni Thomas takes tons of Tea party money thanks to the Citizen's United case, which her husnad voted on.

Michelle can't have it both ways. HER family income includes this federal money ... money that she would take away from other.

Sorry ... the fact that the money enters their joint bank accounts through her husband is irrelevant.

8. They would make more money if he didn't take Medicaid.
Doctors who accept Medicaid agree to accept significantly less than what they get from non-Medicaid patients -- so more and more doctors are refusing to accept these patients altogether. One of my children has needed psychiatric care and I learned that many psychiatrists don't even want to deal with insurance companies, much less Medicaid.

I don't know what criticism Michelle makes of Medicaid. But I'm glad her husband doesn't reject those patients.

2. I would bet big money that not 137,000 pennies worth of societal good have come
from that $137,000 largess fbo the Bachmanns from Medicaid. Hypocrites sucking at the public teat to a nauseating extent. :patriot:

6. Poor people are entitled to the same psychiatric care as anyone else.
And that figure was over a period of years.

Unless you agree with poor people being denied access to medical care, then it's hypocritical to criticize doctors who accept Medicaid patients.

10. Ouch! I criticize proselyting, which I suspect is dispensed here in abundance
in lieu of professional psychiatric care, judging by what pours forth from Madame Bachmann's mouth almost every time she opens it. :patriot:

9. Of course he should take medicaid patients.
The problem is that Michelle is doing everything she can to deny access to healthcare for poor people while her family is profiting from this program. In addition, his qualirfications to provide psychiatric care to ANYONE are suspect. His doctorate is from Union graduate school whose accreditation is suspect.
