Getting "Invalid URL" when trying to log into DU

I'm logged in through a proxy server right now but I'm at a loss. I've been around since 2004 and almost never had a problem logging in before, especially during the past 4-5 years. I'm at a loss. I know there are folks here who've been through it all - Any ideas/suggestions/information that might be helpful?

I'm using Comcast in Portland, OR

2. it might be your browser is wacking out
my browser (Firefox) was wacko the other day. I closed it several times. Finally when my machine rebooted, it was ok again.

4. I'm not terribly computer savvy, but I've had pretty good success with
clearing my browser's cache to clear up sign on problem issues for various sites.
