18. What is so true......is that unfortunately....
The Republicans don't own the cornermarket on stupid!

Reality, if folks take your lead (which is what you might be wishing for).... will bite hard,
and if some thinks it's ugly now....well grab a seat and a mirror,
cause that will be your own life you've just totally fucked up; that of yours and of your children!
I just hope it will be personally satisfying and totally worth it.

The 2012 election driver will be common sense (not fear), and who has it,
and who just simply want to make a point and is willing to sacrifice everyone
including themselves and their family just so they can make it.

42. It has nothing to with whether you like Obama or not.
It is the flame bait nature of his posts. They are poorly designed to elicit negative responses. They in no way are intended to facilitate any constructive conversation. The intention is to disrupt. It doesn't matter that it is done under the guise of support for Obama.

44. I like Obama just fine -
but as a bare-knuckles politician, he sucks. He knows nothing about applying pressure, nothing about negotiating. He feels beholden to the corporations that lobby him, rather than to the people who elected him.

I might like to have a beer with him, but I'm severely disappointed in him as a party or national leader.

31. I don't know about that
Let's just start with Citizens United, since we can all agree he is against that decision. As a constitutional scholar he knows how dangerous this decision is for America. He knows that Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad set the ground for this decision.

So at a time when he could at least test the waters for a Constitutional Ammendment (as will be needed at this point) he makes his blurb, and then drops it.

To me, that's not the greatest leadership.

I will agree that he's getting an unfair attack from some progressives.

But there are a lot of things he should have done that he hasn't

I think it might be a good idea considering Vermont's obviously more leftist politics as compared to most other states. Perhaps it would start a stampede for the Blue states to get out while the getting's good.

39. It depends on what gets done
Appealing the decision to allow Bagram detainees to use Habeaes Corpus to challenge their detention, blocking torture photos, continuing tribunals, and not the friend of whistle-blowers he promised to be. Almost forgot continuing the Patriot Act. He's great at getting things done but sometimes the things you're getting done is the wrong thing. I don't believe Sanders would have done any of the above.

Bernie Sanders is good at what he does, but I'm not confident he'd make a good President. Would I vote for him? If he were the Democratic (not Independent) nominee, yes. I would not, ever, vote for him over Pres. Obama.
