someone has tried to edit Wikipedia to make John Quincy Adams a founding father
Where have we seen this before? Oh yeah, Sarah Palin and Paul Revere.

The updated version:

‘John Quincy Adams”’ ({{IPAc-en|John_Quincy_Adams_pron.ogg|ˈ|k|w|ɪ|n|z|i}}; July 11, 1767{{ndash}} February 23, 1848), a founding father, was the <[List of Presidents of the United States|sixth>] <[President of the United States>] (1825–1829).

(John Quincy Adams was nine years old when the Declaration was written and is not generally regarded as a founder.)

2. Maybe the Republicans will try again to say that this is because we don't understand
the full significance of this brilliant 9 year old. The wisdom of the older founding fathers in including this member of the younger generation was incredible. Who would be more likely to be able to pass through British lines than a well dressed, well groomed 9 year old? Would they even watch their tongue if he was sitting near by?

What is with the ageism of Democrats?

:sarcasm:

4. Proof again
teapubs want to rewrite history instead of owning up to their lies. What a disgrace they are. Never have and never will vote GOP.

Interesting tactic. Invent reality and use Wikipedia to document it.

16. Yes, and now the John Quincy Adams bio has been semi-protected, too.
Semi-protection means that the page can be edited only by people who've had a registered Wikipedia account for more than a few days. It blocks the people who've come to the project only for a single purpose like rewriting the history of the Revolution.

Of course, they could register an account and come back in a few days, but quite often they don't. Even if they do, they find that their silly edits are still promptly reverted. They try again in a few hours, and someone else reverts them. It's not long before they get bored and go away. "Given enough eyeballs, all thugs are callow."

13. Not surprising. The Bachmaniacs did that yesterday to John Wayne.
Edited briefly to say he was born in Waterloo instead of Waterset. These people think 1984 was a how-to book for spreading The Word.
