Sheriff Mahoney is right lawman to probe allegations against Prosser

With few checks and balances left in Wisconsin, many elected officials have chosen to fall in line with Gov. Scott Walker’s attempts to undermine worker rights, local democracy and the rule of law.
.........................

Already, Prosser’s defenders have attempted to peddle a bizarre claim that the choking incident was provoked by Bradley — just as Prosser tried earlier to suggest that Abrahamson provoked him to shout obscenities and threaten to destroy the court’s senior jurist.

Mahoney and his deputies will have their work cut out for them.

But Wisconsinites can rest assured that the sheriff and his team will not serve as a palace guard. They will enforce the law, giving no special breaks to the powerful and politically connected.

6. Sheriff Distances Himself from Supreme Court Probe
Dane County Sheriff David Mahoney says he will not oversee the case involving Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser, because Mahoney endorsed Prosser's opponent in this year's election, Joanne Kloppenburg. Mahoney says he has handed over the case to his chief deputy.

2. It has been noted in other threads that the Wisconsin
Supreme court has their own investigation going. Yes, they are investigating themselves in regards to this incident.

3. This probably wasn't the year for the Gov to get law enforcement riled
Mahoney (hopefully) will interpret the letter of the law and show the Gov and his followers what's what.

Prosser sounds like he needs a thorough physical...top to bottom. Then, he needs to retire to a deserted island where he can't threaten anyone again. What a piece of work.

4. If it starts to get really sticky for Prosser
I'm sure they will find plenty of evidence in a clerks desk in Waukesha which will completely vindicate him.
