Chris Hayes: Are Republicans Deliberately Tanking the Economy?
The Rachel Maddow Show
June 28, 2011

The Republicans have an Obama complex. Historically, they have liked certain ideas—pay as you go budgets, cap and trade, raising the debt ceiling—until Barack Obama endorses them. The minute Obama tries to compensate in his quest for the ever-elusive “purple politics,” the Republicans immediately back-pedal. How can he possibly trust their “goodwill and good faith” to negotiate economic issues?

All of which boils down to the question: is the GOP deliberately trying to tank the economy for political purposes? The Nation’s Washington correspondent, Chris Hayes, joins Rachel Maddow to explain why the Republicans are such fickle legislators.

2. It would help if President Obama supported a plan to jump start the economy.

He has no jobs plan .... unless you consider more business tax cuts and business de-regulation a serious plan to create millions of mobs.

4. no one has a jobs plan
except bho. making the repugs go on record for not doing a damned thing about ANY of this shit, then hit them with a jobs program in 2012. i can dream, can't i? business tax cuts and de-regulation go a long way to pave the road to recovery, no?

seriously, this obama enthusiast believes his vulcan chess game level has gone to 11, and yes, it DOES GO TO 11. repugs have more than outed themselves, now it's up to those of us who give a shit to broadcast it loud and clear (debbie w-s, you listening?)

imho, obama has been playing the game, albeit a dangerous and truly fatiguing one), but just you wait. yes, in between we're going crazy/extinct, i do have hope.

just one woman's opinion (flame away! i LOVE the abuse ...)

10. Addendum...
Didn't really expect a response, it was basically rhetorical.
(meaning I already knew the answer.)

Just can't go there, can you.

7. Pelosi was saying the other day that they have offered many jobs bills
but the Repugs block them in one way or another.

Imagine where we'd be if we'd never lost the House.

11. yes, they are. They also put up McCain as their candidate
because they knew he had no chance, and then they went into high gear to blame all of the fallout from Bush onto Obama. If McCain had won they would have had to own the results of their rule, this way they blame it on Obama and reap the rewards next election. Especially after they have done all they can to make Obama look unable to handle the economy. Any child can see it.
