Rising Prices, High Unemployment and Government Promises

We keep hearing that the government will "stimulate" the economy with a combination of tax cuts and Keynesian spending. However, we're not told if there's an alternative plan in the event these measures don't work. And there's a real possibility they won't.

Commodity prices are already soaring. What will it take for the government to implement Plan B, whatever it is?
