CNN defending FOX ...turned it off
Reliable Sources with Howard Kurtz

3 TV critics and Kurtz defending FOX against Jon Stewart. Then they follow that by discussing Keith Olbermann's show. Really, critics? Keith calling people idiots is offensive? You hope Al Gore gets him to tone it down? Have you WATCHED FOX?

3. Very telling when a supposed competitor defends the competition
Kurtz is a useless clod of dirt anyway. His show is a complete joke.

5. That's because if you watch the full Stewart video, he smacks all the cable media ...
for being lazy.

He Fox the hardest, but he gives examples of how the cable media only cares about sensationalizing the news, and drumming up fake conflict and outrage.

In one example, he points out that the media, screaming that the major issue is "jobs" ... and then all the major media cut away from a Pelosi press conference when she told them she was only going to talk about jobs and NOT about Anthony Weiner. And of course after they all cut from Pelosi, they all went right back to talking heads talking about Weiner.

I think that's why Kurtz and CNN are defending Fox ... its because they are really defending themselves.

7. The CNN clip Stewart showed was particularly galling
After protesting that they didn't want to talk about Anthony Weiner anymore, they wanted to focus on jobs, they cut away from Pelosi's press conference where she was talking about . . . jobs. Wolf Blitzer had the nerve to come on right after the cutaway to complain about how important jobs are, and gosh, he didn't want to talk about Weiner, but . . . Here we go!

It's almost like they say one thing and then do something completely different. What to believe? Words or deeds? Puzzle, puzzle.

10. Apparently its not offensive to call somebody a boner nosed beanie wearin jewboy
Because that's what Don Anus called Kurtz just before his hasty departure from his MSNBC morning show.

And after Anus was fired Kurtz defended him.

Go figure.

11. Saw it. The media critic from the Baltimore Sun, I believe. He's on there often with Howie.
He's another right wing dude who never has anything nice to say about Stewart or Olbermann, etc.

He did say that the production value of Keith's new show was good and that surprised him. His new tactic on tv now is to say his shit a bit louder to make it sound more 'true'. With his voice it sounds more like a cackle though.

12. If CNN were interested in their own credibility as a news channel...
they ship Howie Kurtz on off to Fox and be done with him.

Reliable Sources indeed! :puke:
