On Fox News Sunday, 2012 Republican presidential contender Rep. Michele Bachmann argued that the results of the first Des Moines Register Iowa poll, showing her with 22 percent support, was proof voters took her candidacy seriously.

"People recognize that I am serious", Bachmann said.

She made the claim after the show's host, Chris Wallace, mentioned Rep. Bachmann's history of controversial statements and asked "Are you a flake?"

Bachmann responded that it would be "insulting to say something like that."

Just ask "Are you a flake?" Bachmann stops hitting herself in the face with pies while screaming "Wooga!" long enough to deny that she's a flake, and the controversy is over. But don't ask her if she stands by the substance of her loony previous statements, because then you're going to be dealing in a bunch of nonsense, and Michele is serious. Very serious, indeed.

11. I saw part of the interview. I don't know Wallace's usual style

of interviewing, but I was glad to see that he was pretty tough on her. He called her out on several hypocritical stances but she was able to slither her way out of it. She is a little more dangerous than Palin in that she's actually articulate (even though her views don't make sense) and she is better at keeping her foot out of her mouth.
