Whitney Jefferson — Kathy Griffin had the extreme pleasure of bumping into Michele Bachmann at a political event; the two ladies recognized one another and when they started to speak an assistant filmed the exchange, supposedly for Bachmann's website. Kathy, always on top of her game, decided to ask the tea party princess if she'd attend a rally to repeal DADT — and when Bachmann said no, Griffin followed up with, "Were you born a bigot or did you grow into one?" Boom.

17. Here ya go, here's a transcript of the answers (to the best of my ability)

Kathy to Bachmann: "I was just wondering, were you born a bigot or did you grow into it?"

Bachmann answered: "Well that's a good question, I'm gonna have to think about that."

Then Kathy said to the audience: "Maybe because I was on Law and Order once and thought I was an attorney -- I said (to Bachmann): Let me rephrase",

and then Kathy said to Bachmann: "Well do you feel that you were born a bigot or do you feel it's more environmental?"

Bachmann answers: "I'm gonna have to get back to you on that one."

So then Kathy gets to the top of the two story escalator and a Reuters or AP reporter catches up to her and asks her if it was true that she just confronted Bachmann, and Kathy tells him "Yes" and the she tells the reporter ALL the things that she and Bachmann said.

I wish I could type out the whole video for you but Kathy talks too fast for me to keep up with it all - but that's all the main quotes.

21. I saw the scene while watching her show

she was on a 2-story escalator, Bachmann was in front of her, turned around & started talking to her. Then her assistant turned on a flip camera to live stream the encounter & that ticked Kathy off because she said on her show they never "punk" anyone, they always know they're on camera, sign releases, get permission, etc. So she asked what the camera was for & Bachmann told her it was live streaming to her website.
