Now that others have equality, you can no longer survive as an unequal couple (she being the 2nd class citizen.)

6. I was straight before, but now I'm going to become gay. Not much choice, really. Sorry ladies.
I read a piece in the daily news that detailed the disadvantages of gay marriage. One of the points was that it would make the marriage market even worse for single women. I didn't think about that before, and it almost changed my mind. After all, don't we want more people trapped in unhappy marriages likely to fail? Isn't that the overarching goal?

15. Believe it or not there are married straight and gay. I know at 3 couples
that have been married over 30 to 40 yrs and are still together. I think its weird but they are sincerely happy. Many of them have kids. At least one couple has a daughter that is gay. They are excepting people.

26. My Gay Uncle was married to Aunt Jane for 45 years
They actually were happy together and loved each other before his death 3 years ago. She accepted that he was gay, they had no sexual relationship, adopted a baby girl. They were best friends to each other and enjoyed each other company.

16. I dunno about that...
It only took a few years for those Rainbow Ripples*
to reach across the mighty Hudson from Massachusetts
to Albany; now, amplified by all the folks in the
Empire State, they'll eventually sweep across New
Jersey and Pennsylvania, and then who knows how far
they may go?

Tesha

* Thanks to another poster on another thread for
the phrase "Rainbow Ripples"; it's a much nicer
sounding replacement for "gay rays".

Someone mentioned gay marriage as an actual possibility at some distant date instead of a theoretical construct and of course we had to end our marriage immediately.

35. One has only to look at...
the state of Mass, where same sex marriage has been legal since 2004, to see the complete and utter chaos that's happened here because of marriage equality.

Pip, writing from a small chunk of soil floating around in the ocean, surrounded by locusts and killer toads, because Massachusetts was smitten by God...

not that it's needed, but...
