Republicans and their policies welcome in NJ Democratic Party.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/ns/msnbc_tv-rachel_maddow_show/#43532092

Rachel's guest John Wisniewski, Democratic Chair in NJ, explains that "we're a big tent" so we'll continue to support Democratic pols who voted to revoke collective bargaining rights in his State.

Runs almost 15 minutes

So, if Republicans simply say they are Democrats, but hold to their Republican policies, Wisniewski is OK with that????

Well, I'm not!!!

1. Hey, they're just following the national lead....
Campaign against the Democratic nominee for President? Hey, no problem. Why don't you keep all your positions of power and all your committee chairs. Oh, maybe we'll take one small one away from you just to pretend like we're mad. "wink-wink...nudge nudge".

Actively work to sabotage Democratic legislation despite your party being in the majority? Hey, no problem. In fact, why don't you tell us what else we can do for you? You want us to run and get you coffee and a doughnut while you take some more time to figure out how you can weaken our legislation and help us squander once in a lifetime opportunities and political momentum?

Work to weaken Democratic party positions and legislation? No problem. Vote for dangerous Republican policies? No problem.

Know why? Because hey, someone with a D after their name is always going to be better than someone with an R after their nam.

And boy, I tell you it sure does seem to stick in Harry Reid and Obama's craws though? Don't they just always seem spitting mad, and not at all like these Dems in name only are providing them much needed cover?

It's pathetic.

2. I'm not OK with that either or with Democrats acting like Republicans
"Given the choice between a Republican and someone who acts like a Republican, people will vote for the real Republican all the time" - Harry S. Truman

When is our party going to WTFU and start fighting back instead of trying to attract the people who are the problem?

Winning isn't everything especially when you give up all you believe in to "win". That's just another definition of losing.

3. If the Democratic party is such a big tent... Were is that big tent solution
for the recovery of mainstreet? Were is that big tent solution when it comes to public workers being protected?

4. I watched that interview and I was screaming at my TV.
What a smug jackass that guy is.

I lost my local government job in January. This clown like so many Democrats in New Jersey (not all--there are some very good ones in this state) has no clue about what the people who support his party think and could care less.

5. I actually watched this. I think before agreeing, readers should
actually make up their own mind. Starts at 9 minutes.

6. It sounds more like an acknowledgement of different views and a rejection of group thought.
